The wind in my sails

I gently slide my foot on the ground and it makes me want to dance, an unequivocal sign that the recovery is going smooth and full. The wind in my sails, as if I were on a boat. And there, they were all boats: ambulances, taxis, policemen, even one in charge of collecting garbage. A miracle to have visited Venice after the setback that life gave me to stop and reduce my dose of enthusiasm. It is also a miracle that this destination has witnessed my early recovery, with so many steps and bridges to travel through, where I have been strengthening every day. Maybe I understood the message...

A world man, they say about me. I love travelling, that's all, to communicate, to mix with the local people, as one more, to get into the country's culture I visit and enjoy every time I wake up because in front of me a new day appears, perhaps the last one of my life ... Shall we run? No, thanks, I'm still fallow...

Quizás he comprendido el mensaje…

I was the first to arrive...

Kilometer 7, when I least expected it, a sprain ankle in the right foot. Stop, the game is over! That was my inmediate reaction. I like running, but I don't need it, is for hobby. My memories were activated and I remembered  the sprain I suffered five years ago and how I acted against nature, resisting me and fighting with life. Now has been different, I realized I had to stop and although I would have loved to continue enjoying the race and reach the finish line, the priority was to heal…

And in the afternoon I discovered the message it wanted to convey me. My life has been changing so much, that I need time to digest everything that is happening to me. And even if I'm not aware of it, maybe I'm self-demanding: I'm not pretending to be a Superman, I have nothing to demostrate to others. I should dosify my excess enthusiasm and keep doing and enjoying the things that are reaching me, but giving me time to rest and celebrate what I am achieving before taking the next step. Life is not over...

Of course, I was the first to arrive... to the nursing room!! All an honor and a fondness for new experiences. And despite of the swelling and how serious it seemed, in the afternoon I ended up running. Life's miracles?

23 kilometers!

What happened on November 2016, the 18th? It was the first presentation of my book "When I embraced life", a celebration accompanied by all the hearts that joined mine to create an unforgettable night. A tribute to hope! The next day, I remember myself getting up, wanting to go out to take a breath. Where did I go? To Haría's village to meet some friends who were cheering the runners of the Haría Extreme. The atmosphere was spectacular...

Tomorrow, 18th November of 2017, if I am still alive, will participate in the Haría Extreme race. 23 kilometers! Who was going to tell me? I'm still surprised by what I'm doing and I love this feeling, without knowledgement about what I am able to do. Willing for everything that motivates me, a challenge to become more unlimited. Some people call me daring, other ones kamikaze... I prefer to call it enthusiasm… Tomorrow’s challenge will be running and today’s sleeping, because I’m feeling like a little child waiting for the arrival of the Wise Men... I want to enjoy, this is my motto, enjoy... 23 kilometers! From the 15 of my last race, to 23. Will I be able? And I will put into practice an advice I have been given: try to run without identifying with the one who is running. There is a path, not the one who walks...
